Peter Noble has unveiled the final announcement for Bluesfest 2012 with John Fogerty added in for a second performance at the festival on Monday April 9.
Fogerty was already announced to perform the classic Creedence Clearwater Revival album ‘Cosmos Factory’. He will also do the ‘Green River’ album at his second show.
“We are thrilled to announce a second and spectacular 6pm sunset show for John Fogerty on Easter Monday,” Peter Noble said in a statement. “This time he will perform his Creedence Clearwater Revival Album ‘Green River’ in its entirety, plus his ‘bonus’ set drawn from the canon of his solo and CCR hits. This special sunset performance will set the scene for Bluesfest’s closing night with many more wonderful artists to follow afterwards”.
The 23rd Bluesfest is on from April 5 to April 9 ay Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm outside Byron Bay.
Other acts announced today include Slightly Stoopid, Weddings, Parties Anything, The Hands, Claude Haye, Mick Thomas’ Roving Commission, Mason Rack Band, Daniel Champagne, Bobby Alu, Dan Hannaford, Round Mountain Girls, Mojo Bluesmen, Harry Healy, Blackbirds, Mick McHugh, Minnie Marks and Young Sounds of Byron.
They join Cold Chisel, Crosby Stills & Nash, Yes, Earth Wind & Fire, The Pogues, The Specials, Trombone Shoty, G3, John Butler, Buddy Guy, My Morning Jacket, Nick Lowe and more.
