Australian’s planning on heading to SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2016 can attempt information Meet ‘N Greets in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane soon.
SXSW’s Australian representative Phil Tripp will conduct as series of information nights to prepare potential attendees for SXSW Music, Interactive and Film next March.
As part of the free information night, the film ‘Outside Industry’ about the history of SXSW will be screened. The movie was never released commercially.
All three nights are free and will feature a panel of SXSW veterans giving tips and sharing secrets and the showing of movie.
Dates have been set for Melbourne (Monday July 13) at Bar Open, Sydney (Tuesday July 14) at Newtown Social Club, and Brisbane (Tuesday August 4) at The Globe Theatre.
The shows start at 5:30, with networking drinks, 6:30 the panel convenes with questions and the film starts at 7:30.
For those who need advice on submitting for band showcasing or film submissions which start June 29, this is a crucial event as well as for those who want to propose speaking or a panel topic at SXSW in March via Panel Picker which also opens June 29.
