After five years in the making Melbourne’s Colour Bomb will release their debut album on June 4.
Colour Bomb is singer, songwriter and engineer Jimmy Saunders and guitarist, songwriter and producer Tom Whitty. The live band is rounded out with Jem Savage, Ed Fairlie and Josh Barber.
Jimmy and Tom met at school in 1999 and decided to make this album five years ago, writing and recording the songs in various bedroom across Melbourne. They then recruited Lachlan Carrick, who had credits for work with Daniel Johns, Angus & Julia Stone, Lior, Gotye and Miami Horror, the mix it.
Colour Bomb take their influences from a range of the greatest songwriters of a generation including Bowie, Brian Wilson, Billy Joel, Beck and TV On The Radio.
Colour Bomb will launch the ‘Colour Bomb’ album on June 4, 2016 at The Toff in Melbourne.
