Flaming Lips To Spend New Years With Yoko Ono

The Flaming Lips will perform on New Year’s Eve on a bill with Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band.

New Year’s Freakout 5 will take place over New Year in The Flaming Lips hometown of Oklahoma City.

Yoko and the Plastic Ono Band and The Flaming Lips will perform two shows on New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Flaming Lips have had a big 2011 including their Gummy Fetuses and Gummy Skulls with USB featuring three new songs.

There was also the world’s first 24-hour long song ‘7 Skies H3. The song was available on a hard drive installed into a genuine human skull. Cost $5000. Don’t even try and buy one. They were an instant sell-out.

The Lips will also perform on December 27 ay Belly Up in Aspen, Colorado.
