Flea and Anthony Kiedis will MC the upcoming benefit for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.
The Silverlake Conservatory of Music was founded by Flea 13 years ago in Los Angeles. “This is our time, this is our children’s time,” said Flea. “Come celebrate with us and help build great music education for all children in Los Angeles. The Silverlake Conservatory of Music is for all of us.”
The 2014 benefit will include a performance from Rufus Wainwright and Bruno Mars and a silent auction of the works of Damien Hirst, Raymond Pettibon, Cecily Brown, Ed Ruscha, Gus Van Sant, Richard Prince, Inez + Vinoodh, Thomas Houseago, Swoon, D*Face, Charming Baker, Dana Louise Kirkpatrick, Bernie Taupin, Tim Armstrong, Kim Gordon, Aida Ruilova, Stanley Donwood, Shepard Fairey, Wes Lang, REVOK, and boutique items from Gucci, Marc Jacobs, The Elder Statesman, Shinola, and more.
The Silverlake Conservatory of Music has 700 students, 200 who attend for free.
The benefit is this Saturday, November 1 in Beverly Hills.
