Flea’s ‘Helen Burns’ EP will be released in Australia through Smack Face Records.

The mainly instrumental solo project from the Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player features special guests including original Chili Peppers drummer Jack Irons, current Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and the legendary Patti Smith.
Helen Burns was a character in a 1847 Jane Eyre novel.
Flea said “the beauty of Helen Burns is a quality I look for in all human beings. Burns is always someone who is present with me and whose highest ideals resonate in the deepest experiences of my life”.
All songs were produced and written by Flea, except “Helen Burns”, which was co-written with Patti Smith.
Smack Face Records will release the ‘Helen Burns’ EP on February 19.
