Florence + The Machine’s second album debuts at number one on this week’s ARIA chart wrap.
Ceremonials has debuted at number one this week, pushing Adele’s evergreen 21 even further down the chart, stuck behind Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto at number two.
This is huge news. Adele’s album has been at the top of the charts for around five months, never dropping below number two (only unseated by Gaga and Gotye and only for a week each).

Regardless, great news for Florence and Coldplay, and good news for Michael Bublé, whose Christmas album debuted at number four. Justin Bieber’s Christmas album could only make number six in its first week.
The most amusing news is that thrash stalwarts Megadeth released their thirteenth album, Th1rt3en, which debuted at, you guessed it, number 13.
The Tim and Neil Finn covers duet compilation They Will Have Their Way popped in at 31, and the Metallica and Lou Reed oddity Lulu debuted at a lowly 33.
Lots of albums held strong in their second weeks – Tom Waits, Darren Hayes, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay, Husky, Ed Sheeran – but French stadium-house duo Justice plummeted from an 18 debut to 42.
The most obvious re-entry was Florence + The Machine’s double-platinum debut Between Two Lungs, which had been long hanging around the charts but is now back at 32.
LMFAO hold onto the top single spot with ‘Sexy And I Know It’, but Brit boyband One Direction made an admirable entreaty, debuting at 15 with ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
