Foo Fighters played an unannounced show in a Hollywood carpark on Friday.
The pop-up show behind Hollywood’s Palladium was a promotion for the upcoming CalJam in San Berndino in October.
The surprise show also featured a surprise guest. Roger Taylor from Queen was in town and joined the Foo Fighters on drums to cover his own Queen classic ‘Under Pressure’.
Foo Fighters threw a few covers into the crowd including The Knack’s ‘My Sharona’, ‘The Rolling Stones ‘Bitch’ and The Faces ‘Stay With Me’. They also dug up ‘Gimme Stitches’ from the 1999 ‘There Is Nothing Left To Lose’ album for the first time in 10 years.
The band didn’t use the Foo Fighters name for the gig. Instead they were introduced as Chevy Metal with The Holy Shits.
