Foo Fighters Play First Show In More Than A Year And Announce Glastonbury Headliner

The Foo Fighters are back and they did it in a rather clandestine way.

The band took the stage on Friday night at the Cheese and Grain in Frome, England, not far from the Glastonbury site where they will headlining in June. The concert was not announced; however, a few “superfans” had received “boarding passes” for an event earlier in the week.

Those that were able to get in saw an impromptu 24 song set that saw rarities and a couple of songs late in the set that were called up from the crowd.

Earlier in the day, the band officially announced that they would be on the Glastonbury bill, a pseudo-replacement show for 2015 when they had to bow out due to Dave Grohl’s broken leg.

The set list:
Learn to Fly (from There is Nothing Left to Lose, 1999)
Sean (from St. Cecilia EP, 2015)
White Limo (from Wasting Light, 2011)
Arlandria (from Wasting Light, 2011)
