Former Getaway Plan tour manager John Zimmerman (26) has been sentenced to sixteen years with a minimum of twelve in the big house for crimes including rape and stalking.
Investigators say that they have found 55 victims aged between 12 and 17 from four Australian states.
The Herald Sun reports that he was convicted of 87 charges including three rapes, twenty three counts of sexual penetration of a child under sixteen years, using the internet for obtaining child pornography and indecent acts.
His crimes were committed between 2006 and 2010, with the last victim being after he was initially arrested.
Zimmerman was first arrested in November 2009. He pleased guilty last month and the sentence was handed down today.
Zimmerman worked as tour manager for Melbourne band The Getaway Plan. The band achieved success with their first album Other Voices, Other Rooms but ended in a brief hiatus. Earlier this year they had reformed and released a new album Requiem, which made it to number 17 on the ARIA chart.
