Paul D’Amour of Tool is the new member of Ministry.
D’Amour was the original bass player for Tool but only played on the first album ‘Undertow’. He left during the creation of Tool’s second album ‘Ænima’ but is listed as a co-writer for the four tracks ‘Stinkfist’, ‘Eulogy’, ‘H’ and ‘Pushit’.
Paul left Tool to play guitar for Lusk. The band, which featured Chris Pitman who would later join Guns N’ Roses, only recorded one album ‘Free Mars’ in 1997 which featured a
He also played guitar for Replicants, whose 1995 album featured a cover of Paul McCartney’s ‘Silly Love Songs’ with vocals by Maynard Keenan of Tool.
D’Amour has been performed under the name Feersum Ennjin, a name inspired by the novel by Iain Banks.
Paul D’Amour will play his first live dates with Ministry in Europe.
