The SXSW death toll has risen to four following the passing of Fort Worth teenager DeAndre Tatum.
18-year old Tatum had been in a coma in an Austin hospital since the incident on Red River where a 22-uear drunk driver plowed into people on the street attending the SXSW music conference in Austin, Texas.
Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo confirmed the death of DeAndrewTatum in a tweet saying , “The news of DeAndre Tatum’s passing is very sad to us @Austin_Police. Our thoughts & prayers go out to family & friends may God comfort all”.

Tatum’s girlfriend Curtisha Davis was also injured in the crash and is back home in Fort Worth recovering at her home.
Two people died on the scene. They were 35-year old media executive Steven Craenmehr of Denmark and local Jamie Ranae West. The third person Sandy Le, died the following Monday.
Police arrested 21-year old Rashad Charjuan Owens with the deaths. He was been charged with multiple capital murder charges for the decreased and aggravated assault charges for the injured. He could face the death penalty under Texas law,
Owens is in custody in Austin. His bail was set at $3 million.
