Frank N Furter Understudy Adam Rennie Replaces Craig McLachlan In The Rocky Horror Show

Craig McLachlan’s understudy Adam Rennie will play Frank N Furter in the remaining performances of The Rocky Horror Show in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

McLachlan has stepped down from the role about his Trail By Media on the ABC this week. While Craig McLachlan is facing serious allegations for sexual misconduct he has not been changed by Police for any crime. He has only nationally shamed by tabloid ABC and Fairfax journos.

Erika Heynatz, Angela Scundi and Christie Whelan Browne, performers from the 2014 production, have made the allegations about their co-star to the ABC’s 7:30 Report. As Australian law recognises the “innocent until proven guilty” ethos, McLachlan is currently innocent.

Victoria Police are investigating the claims by the three female actors but by talking to media before charges are laid, the chance of any charges against McLachlan now have little chance of happening.

This week the ABC also dropped McLachlan’s drama Dr Blake’s Mysteries from their on-demand iView programming. However, the ABC admits that in the entire five years of the Blake production not complaints against McLachlan were ever received.

The Rocky Horror show is in Adelaide this week before heading to Brisbane on January 17. The Perth season commences on 17 February. The final run for this season of the show will start in Melbourne in 13 July, 2018.
