Frankie Valli has occasionally mixed in a bit of acting with his performing including an episode of Miami Vice in the 80’s and seven episodes on The Sopranos.
This fall, Valli will appear as the fiance of Carol Burnett on an episode of the CBS drama Hawaii Five-0. Frankie will be Leonard Campbell, an ex-shop teacher who is suffering from stage four leukemia. Burnett plays the aunt of main character Steve McGarrett, who is also a cancer sufferer. The pair jet to Hawaii to get married as they feel neither has much time left. According to CBS, “McGarrett is suspicious that Leonard is not being completely honest with his aunt about his past.”
The episode is the eighth of the season, scheduled for November 21.
Valli, 80, is having a banner year with the ongoing success of the Broadway show Jersey Boys, the Clint Eastwood directed movie version of the show, and numerous guest appearances.
