Freddie Mercury’s ‘Time Waits For No One’ Suddenly Appears

by Paul Cashmere on June 21, 2019

in News

A new Freddie Mercury song, complete with a fully produced music video, has suddenly appeared after 40 years.

The song ‘Time Waits For No One’ (although the lyric is Time Waits For Nobody’) was recorded in 1986. It was co-written and produced with Dave Clark (of the Dave Clark Five fame). The song and video, which is fully produced, and a very good song, for some reason has been locked in a vault for all these years.

Freddie Mercury and Dave Clark also were filmed making a very detailed and professional interview about the song. Clark and Mercury were close friends. Clark met Mercury in 1976 and was one of his closest friends right up to his death in 1991.

Dave Clark was involved in the British Invasion of 1964. The Dave Clark Five were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. Their biggest hit was ‘Glad All Over’ in 1963.
