Gary Clark Jr has announced his own music festival. The 1st annual Maverick Music Festival will be held in San Antonio, Texas in March.

For the inaugural festival Clark has lined up The Toadies, Girl In A Coma, Arum Rae and Henry + The Invisibles to join him at Maverick Plaza in the historic La Villita in downtown San Antonio.
San Antonio is just 80 miles from Clarkâs hometown Austin, dubbed the Live Music Capital of the World. Clark sees his festival as a bridge between the two music cities. Austin is the home of the South By Southwest (SXSW) music festival and conference, held every March.
The Maverick Music Festival will be held on March 23rd, the week after SXSW.
The festival will have daytime activities from 10am to 5pm and the music events from 6pm until midnight.
