Singer, songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire Gary Clark Jr. will appear as a special guest sitting in with The Rolling Stones during their show at the TD Garden in Boston, MA, tonight.
The Rolling Stones have been big fans ever since Mick Jagger first heard Clark perform at the White House last year. The band invited Clark to jump onstage with them to perform a blistering version of “Going Down” during the Stones’ December shows at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn and The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
In other news, Clark will be the subject of two upcoming segments on CBS This Morning this weekend. On Friday, Gary sits down for a long-form interview from Electric Lady Studios in New York.
The segment will also feature clips from Clark’s recent performance at The Governors Ball Music Festival this past weekend. Saturday’s edition features Clark performing two tracks by himself from his Warner Bros. Records debut album Blak and Blu in the studio, “When My Train Pulls In” and “Next Door Neighbor Blues.”
