Disgraced pop star Gary Glitter will spend the next 16 years in jail.
70-year old Paul Gadd (aka Gary Glitter) was charged with four counts of indecent assault, attempted rape and one charge of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
Gadd appeared in Southwalk Crown Court London on Friday morning. He showed no emotion as his sentence was explained.
The court heard how Glitter had done nothing to repent for his crimes and the judge Alistair McCreath called his offences ‘truly appalling’.
