Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Gary Rossington has been released from the hospital and is resting at home following a heart attack last Thursday.
Rossington wrote the following on the band’s Facebook page:
“I just wanted to thank everyone for all the well wishes and support. I am feeling better and taking it one day at a time and getting excellent care and support from my doctor and family. I will be back before you know it! It’s gonna take more than a lil ole heart attack to keep me down… Much love and see you all soon!”
-Gary
The band announced yesterday that they would be canceling two upcoming appearances:
As Gary recuperates after suffering a heart attack late last week, the band regrets to announce that they’ll be canceling two upcoming performances. Full refunds are available at points of purchase for Friday’s show in Terre Haute, IN and the Mt. Pleasant, MI show will be rescheduled in 2016.
Word is that Rossington plans to be up and going on December 5 for the band’s show at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino in Mescalero, NM. Skynyrd does have one other scheduled before that date on November 7 at the Alabama National Fair in Montgomery, AL.
