Two entities that promote makeup on men, Gene Simmons of KISS and the WWE, have joined forces to form Erebus Pictures, a new company that will make horror movies.

Simmons said in a press release “The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences. I am so thrilled to be working with the masterminds from WWE Studios in launching Erebus Pictures.”

The first film from the new company will be Temple which was written by Matt Savelloni and has been in development with the WWE. A second film, which will be the first developed wholly under the new agreement, is expected to go into production later this year.

Michael Luisi of the WWE said “Horror films fall into a genre that thrives on genuine passion, and I believe this partnership truly capitalizes on that sentiment and supports our vision. I am confident that Erebus will provide audiences with an unprecedented horror experience.”

The agreement between Simmons and the WWE is set for a total of three films.
