The BBC has announced that they are making a full length documentary on the history of Genesis.
For the first time since 1975, all five members of the band (Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Mike Rutherford) have reunited, giving their full cooperation with new interviews and insights into the band.
According to the BBC, the film will explore the group’s songwriting as well as their emotional highs and lows and will include previously unseen archive material and rare concert footage from over the 47 year career.
The documentary is part of a new initiative to music at the BBC which they describe as the “strongest commitment to music in 30 years.”
