Just as Steve Hackett leaves Australia a few Genesis production is coming to town.

The Musical Box is a Genesis tribute endorsed by Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel.

“They’re not a tribute band, they have taken a period and are faithfully reproducing it in the same way that someone would do a theatrical production. The Musical Box play it better than we did!” Collins said in a statement.

Original Genesis lead singer Peter Gabriel is also a fan. “I saw them in Bristol with my children so they could see what their father did back then. I was really impressed by the production quality and the attention to detail,” he said.

The Musical Box is from Montreal, Canada. The band took its name from a 1971 track from the Genesis album ‘Nursery Cryme’.

The 2018 tour of Australia and New Zealand will focus on a complete performance of the 1973 Genesis album ‘Selling England By The Pound’.

Toto Returns To Melbourne #Review

Toto’s 2025 setlist focuses on the heritage of the band. The setlist was interesting. Compared to how it was curated for Australia in 2019 this time Toto kept to the albums of the 1900s. Mind you, there were no complaints from the audience for doing that. The biggest hits came from those early years.
