George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic have announced a national tour in addition to their appearance at Golden Plains Lucky Seven next year, adding to a growing list of sideshows for the regional Victorian festival.
The most sampled artist on (and off) the planet, Clinton is bringing his ’22 piece psychedelic extravaganza’ to Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, in addition to Golden Plains. The Galactic Space Circus Tour, as it’s called, is said to consist of singers, dancers, circus clowns, roller girls, virtuoso musicians and galactic space travellers and promises to be something unique, something memorable and no doubt, something very funky.
The announcement follows on from the news about The Mark Of Cain last week, as well as Canadian electronic music duo Purity Ring, U.S. indie pop act Wild Nothing and a single Melbourne sideshow by American artist and producer, Toro Y Moi.
