George Michael’s latest promo shoot saw the crew ‘mesmerised’ by a zebra.
The British singer filmed his new music video in London, UK, over the weekend. It’s thought he was shooting scenes to accompany his song White Light, which is about his battle with pneumonia last year.
A zebra was spotted with George and the black-and-white striped animal apparently amazed those on set.
‘The animal had the crew mesmerised as it kept walking into all the lights and cameras,’ a source told British newspaper The Sun.
‘It was a little bit spooked by the wind and had to be calmed down.’
The promo also includes people dressed up as cops, believed to be from the Los Angeles Police Department. It’s thought George is shot during one segment, as he was spotted falling to the ground.
‘Even that didn’t divert attention from the animal,’ the source laughed.
The singer was seen wrapped in a dark coat and hugging a male friend during the shoot.
George was hospitalised for several weeks with pneumonia while on tour in Vienna at the end of last year.
In his first interview after he was discharged, the star admitted his illness had been grave and he’d nearly passed away.
He later told fans he’d spent time penning lyrics about the experience, adding he is proud of what he’s come up with.
‘Am I allowed to say it may be the best dance record I’ve ever made?’ he wrote on Twitter.
