Glenn Shorrock, Catherine Britt and Casey Donovan are just some of the stars coming together to perform for A Night At The Rock Opera to benefit the YWCA, New South Wales.
The event for the YWCA will raise money for the mentoring and leadership programs for disadvantaged children. “In the past 12 months alone, through the generous support of their donors and partners, YWCA NSW has supported more than 2,000 young people in Sydney by providing a long term positive role model,” says YWCA NSW Head of Marketing and Fundraising, Nicola Reeves. “Over the last eight years, events such as this have raised over $3m in vital funds, supporting over 250,000 people.”
The performers for the event are Glenn Shorrock, Casey Donovan, Lucy Durack (Wicked), Mark Vincent, Ciaran Gribbin (INXS), Doug Parkinson, Melinda Schneider, Catherine Britt, Monica Trapaga, Christa Hughes (Machine Gun Fellatio), Paul Capsis, Mark Gable (Choirboys), Paul Gray (Wa Wa Nee), Jeff Duff, Simon Meli (The Voice 2013), Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Brydon Stace, Darryl and Harmony Lovegrove, Robyn Loau, Glenn Cunningham (The Voice 2012) and Chris Ninni.
They will collectively and individually perform songs from Mamma Mia!, Rent, Chess, Evita The Rocky Horror Show, We Will Rock You and Jesus Christ Superstar.
A Night At The Rock Opera, presented by Empire Touring, is on Tuesday, 19 November, 2013 at the State Theatre, Sydney.
