After scoring the biggest selling song of 2012 with ‘Somebody That I Used To Know, Noise11 can reveal that the Gotye featuring Kimbra song is also the 4th biggest selling digital song of all-time.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ sold 6,885,000 units in the USA in 2012. That puts it in reach of the biggest seller by Black Eyed Peas if it can clock up another 1.4 million sales.
‘I Gotta Feeling’ is the biggest selling digital song ever with 8,186,000 downloads. Adele is at no. 2 with ‘Rolling In The Deep’ (7,640,000) and LMFAO is at no. 3 with ‘Party Rock Anthem’ (7,463,000).
