Gotye picked up the top award for APRA Song of the Year for ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ and was an easy victor for the Most Played Song award for the same song.

Gotye (Wally De Backer) shared the award with Luiz Bonfa. A sample of Luiz’s song ‘Seville’ is included in ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’. The song has now been no. 1 in 11 countries and has generated over 200 million YouTube views. Last week, a painting based on the artwork in the video sold for $15000.
