Green Day have cancelled their “secret show” in Burbank this Friday because the city fears for audience safety.

In a statement Noise11.com was advised, “Green Day regretfully announce that they have been forced to cancel the “secret” massive free show planned for this Friday in Burbank, CA.
“Arrangements for this “secret” show were already under way, when permits needed for the show were denied by the city due to crowd control issues. The anticipated turnout was well into the thousands, and after monitoring the situation, fears were the number would dramatically swell and pose serious concern for safety of concert-goers once the location was made public”.
The show was to be the first official function in a lead-off for the three Green Day albums coming out over the next six months.
