The funeral for Gregg Allman has been set for Saturday in his hometown of Macon, GA.

According to the Macon Telegraph, the service will be for family and friends only at Snow’s Memorial Chapel and he will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery where his brother Duane and bandmate Berry Oakley are also interred.

The paper also reports that Allman’s management says that they are only looking for 75 to 100 people to attend with attire being blue jeans to sports coat and absolutely no suits.

Fans are advised that they can observe the funeral procession along the mile-plus route from the funeral home to the cemetery.

Billboard talked with Allman’s son Devon and asked when was the last time he had talked with his father.

I believe it was the Netherlands a couple weeks ago. I was hanging out with Bobby Blue Bland’s son Rod Bland. I’ve known him for years, and Bobby Blue Bland was one of my dad’s all-time favorites, and I sent him a picture on my phone of me and Bobby Blue’s kid and he just thought that was so cool, and I think a couple days later I just said, “I love you and I miss you.” We Facetimed about a week ago and that was the last time.

Duane’s daughter, Galadrielle, also posted a memory of her uncle, saying “I hope that I will find words at some point soon. For now they have left me completely. I loved him all of my life with all of my heart. Thank you for the stunning outpouring of love for him. We know we are not alone in our loss and it helps. xo”
