Gregory Porter steals the show at Radio 1 Ibiza 20 event with surprise live performance with dance duo Disclosure.
‘Man Of The Moment’* vocalist, songwriter and entertainer Gregory Porter stole the show at BBC Radio 1’s Ibiza 20 event this weekend, when he delighted dance fans with a surprise live vocal performance of recent collaborative single ‘Holding On’ during dance duo Disclosure’s set on Friday night, at Ushuaia Beach Hotel, Ibiza. Despite being known predominantly as jazz vocalist, Gregory was a major part of the Ibiza 20 event, held this weekend to mark 20 years of the station broadcasting shows and hosting events in Ibiza. He also performed a live version of his latest dance focused single: ‘Liquid Spirit ‘ Claptone Remix’ on Saturday night at Danny Howard’s hotly anticipated event on San Antonios sunset strip, which saw Gregory rubbing shoulders with dance legends Rudimental, Duke Dumont and Pete Tong who also performed.
Gregory’s booking at Ibiza 20 was the result of his unprecedented success within the dance scene, with event organisers adding him to the bill, after production enigma Claptone’s remix version of Gregory’s classic track ‘Liquid Spirit’, became the hit of the summer and the Most Shazamed track in Ibiza.
