At the end of last night’s show Cave announced “that’s it for Grinderman. It’s over. See you in 10 years”

Cave formed Grinderman with Bad Seeds members Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos in 2006. It was his “mini-Seeds’. The bane came from Memphis Slim’s ‘Grinder Man Blues’.

They released two albums ‘Grinderman’ (2007) and ‘Grinderman 2’ (2010).

The Meredith Festival will finish today. The line-up this year also included Mudhoney, Cut Copy, Future Of The Left, Adalita and Ladyhawke.
