Chris Taylor from indie darlings Grizzly Bear will perform a one-off side show for side project CANT.
Taylor will bring the all-star live CANT performance to Falls and Southbound Festivals over the summer, but he’ll also play a sideshow for the faithful at The Prince Bandroom.
Taylor wrote his debut full-length Dreams Come True as CANT with George Lewis Jr from Twin Shadow in the same studios where Grizzly Bear recorded their top ten 2009 album Veckatimest.
Dreams Come True was released last September and this is the first time Australians will be able to hear the tunes live.
Better yet, the band playing the tunes on the tour are indie all-stars. He’ll be joined on stage with Dev Hynes (also known as Blood Orange and Lightspeed Champion), John Kirby from Sebastian Tellier’s band and Guillermo Brown, who has played with Jamie Lidell, Arto Lindsay and Saul Williams.
CANT will play at Melbourne’s Prince Bandroom on Friday January 13, 2012. You can get tickets at Moshtix.
