They are classic rock bands of two different eras and, this summer, will come together to co-headline a series of South American dates.

Guns N’ Roses and The Who will play together on two dates in late September and early October in Rio de Janerio and Buenos Aires. In addition, there are rumors that additional dates are coming in other South American countries.

Guns N’ Roses is in the midst of the “Not in This Lifetime” tour which has taken them around the world and earned the band over $230 million.

The Who have also been touring over the last year or so. Neither have new releases to promote so expect a couple of greatest hits sets.

While the pairing of the two bands may seem a bit odd, Guns N’ Roses have shown their admiration for the Who in the past with a live version of The Who’s 1970 song The Seeker.

The dates:
09/23 – Rio de Janerio, Brazil – Rock in Rio
10/01 – Buenos Aires, Argentina – Estadio Único De La Plata
