Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Become The New Hollywood Thing

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have reportedly formed a close friendship in the wake of their respective divorces.

The blonde singer filed for divorce from her husband Gavin Rossdale last month, after almost 13 years of marriage, during which they had sons Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 18 months, together.

Blake split from Miranda in July, after four years together, and it seems he and Gwen are leaning on each other during this tough time.

‘At first they were just bonding over the fact that they were both going through divorces at the same time,’ an insider tells RadarOnline. ‘That turned into an even closer friendship between them.’

Both stars are judges on NBC’s The Voice, the ninth season of which is set to air on Monday September 21. The pair reportedly have great chemistry on the panel and have been enjoying each other’s company away from set, with the source adding audiences will be able to pick up on this.

‘Viewers will be able to see this from a mile away and it is going to make for some great TV,” they added.

While it’s unclear why Gwen filed for divorce from her estranged husband, there have been rumours that the Bush guitarist was unfaithful during his marriage. The pair had rocky patches over the years, especially when it was announced in 2004 that model Daisy Lowe, 26, is Gavin’s biological daughter. He’d had a brief relationship with her mother Pearl Lowe and upon learning her beau was already a dad, Gwen is said to have been devastated.

The reason for Blake and Miranda’s split also remains a mystery. In a joint statement, the former couple said they were parting with “heavy hearts” and they requested privacy and compassion during this difficult period.
