Hamish Anderson is the Melbourne blues guitarist even B.B. King is taking notice of.

Anderson was the opening act for King on his US tour recently. King unfortunately fell during a performance last week and had to cancel his upcoming shows but Hamish did perform with King in Phoenix, Chicago and Charleston.

“What a privilege and honor it has been these past few shows opening up for Mr. King,” Hamish said. “I was sad to hear the news regarding his health and the subsequent tour cancellation earlier today. My band and I wish him a safe and speedy recovery”.

Austin legend Gary Clark Jr has also named-checked Hamish in an interview putting him at the top of his list for up and coming guitarists under the age of 30.

Anderson has spent a lot of time in the USA this year and recently filmed the video for his new song ‘Burn’ in an old mansion in Laurel Canyon. “I’ve spent a lot of time in LA this year, hanging around areas like Laurel Canyon and Venice which are famous for people like Jim Morrison and Neil Young having lived there in the 60’s… In fact, Laurel Canyon and its musical legacy really inspired the video and its themes,” explains Anderson.
