Canberra’s own Hands Like Houses have been added to the Big Ass Tour replacing The Ghost Inside who were involved in a fatal buss accident this week.
A statement from The Ghost Inside told fans, “The truth is, there are a lot of very serious injuries. We are dealing with badly broken legs and ankles, cracked pelvises, and fractured vertebrae that require screws, plates, rods, and careful surgery to repair.”
They added, “It is going to be a long road for us to quite literally be back on our feet. We have many months of recovery, rehabilitation, and physical therapy ahead. For some of us, simply learning to walk again will be a monumental undertaking. For now, we must put all shows on hold and focus only on our health.”
Live Nation announced that. “The Big Ass Tour will continue as scheduled with The Amity Affliction, A Day To Remember and Motionless In White, and we are currently considering options for replacements given the limited time before the tour commences in Auckland next Thursday December 10.”
Hands Like Houses is the replacement.
Hands Like Houses formed in Canberra in 2008 and released their debut album ‘Ground Dweller’ in 2012. The second album ‘Unimagine’ followed a year later and in 2016 Hands Like Houses will release their third album ‘Dissonants’.
The first taste of the album in New Romantics.
