The Simpsons has just had a massive walk-out for the next season all due to one man, Harry Shearer.
Shearer, the voice of for Principal Skinner, Kent Brockman, Mr. Burns, Waylon Smithers, Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy, Dr. Hibbert, Lenny Leonard, Otto Mann, Rainier Wolfcastle, Dr. Marvin Monroe as well as multiple other characters, has quit the show.
The 71 year old Harry Shearer quit the show citing a contractual dispute to end the job he had been doing since 1989.
Shearer also played Derek Smalls in the rock spoof Spinal Tap.
He was also the DJ in Wayne’s World 2.
Harry Shearer announced his decision to quit the legendary TV show on Twitter.
He wrote, “from James L. Brooks’ lawyer: “show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best.”.
“This because I wanted what we’ve always had: the freedom to do other work.
Of course, I wish him the very best.”
“Thanks, Simpsons fans, for your support”.
