TMZ reports that Adam Mills, a designer who was in the building, saw him leaning against the railing and in distress. Adam told TMZ that Heavy D was conscious and told him “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe”.

Paramedics were called and he still had a pulse as he arrived at the hospital.

Witnesses said it was most likely a heart attack that caused the death of Heavy D. Police have ruled out any foul play.
