The 2013 Australian Music Prize has been won by hip-hip dup Hermitude.
Hermitude, from the Blues Mountains in New South Wales, is Luke Dubber aka Luke Dubs and Angus Stuart aka Elgusto.
In February, 2012 they released ‘HyperParadise’ on Tim Levinson aka Urthboy’s label Elefant Tracks. Conicidentally, to win this year’s Australian Music Prize Hermintide beat the label’s boss Urthboy who was also shortlisted with his album ‘Smokey’s Talent’.
The nine acts nominated this year for the Australian Music Prize were:

The Presets – Pacifica
Liz Stringer – Warm In The Darkness
Daily Meds – Happy Daze
Grand Salvo – Slay Me In My Sleep
Jess Ribeirio & The Bone Collectors – My Little River
Urthboy – Smokey’s Talent
