Jack White will no longer compose the soundtrack for The Lone Ranger.
The Lone Ranger
White was recruited to write, produce and score the soundtrack for The Lone Ranger movie in April but has been replaced with Hollywood soundtrack pro Hans Zimmer.
White’s involvement with the movie is now expected to be one song but not the whole soundtrack as originally planned.
Since production began the movie has had a series of problems leading to its delay. The film was originally planned for a 2011 release but production did not get underway until March 2012.
The new release date was meant to be December 21, 2012 but that has now been pushed back until July, 2013.
The Lone Ranger, from Walt Disney Pictures, stars Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto. It is the new movie for Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski.
