Australian soul act Hiatus Kaiyote will release their new EP, ‘Live In Revolt’, before embarking on a tour of the USA and Europe.
It’s been a hectic year for the group since the release of their debut album, ‘Tawk Tomahawk’, with extensive touring and increased interest in the band due in large part to the celebrity endorsements they have received.
Fans of the band include Erykah Badu, Prince and Roots drummer Questlove who had this to say on the band,
“Oh. My. Gawd. This. Is. DOOOOOOOOOOOPE. This coming from a cat who drowns in music everyday. Once in a blue moon, something moves me so much I’m willing to alienate friends when an UNDENIABLE project comes along. THIS is that project.”
Hiatus Kaiyote’s latest EP, ‘Live In Revolt’, will feature re-worked live recordings of songs off their debut long player. It will be made available digitally through iTunes and Amazon.
They will play one final gig at Sydney’s The Standard tonight before embarking on six-stop journey through the US followed by a twelve-stop European tour.
Upon their return to our shores, they will play The Falls Festival before supporting down-tempo electronic producer, Bonobo, during his Australian tour. They have also just been announced for next year’s Golden Plains Festival!
