Hootie and the Blowfish To Reunite For One Show In Atlanta

In the mid-90’s, there may have been no artist that dominated the radio more than Hootie and the Blowfish.

On some top 40 stations, it seemed like “Hold My Hand”, “Only Want to Be With You” and “Let Her Cry” were on a half-hour rotation yet their reign only lasted for a bit over two years from 1994 to 1996.

The group stayed together until 2008 when they decided to go on hiatus and explore individual pursuits with lead singer Darius Rucker going on to be a major star of country music with five straight top three Country Albums and four number 1 country songs including “Alright” and “Wagon Wheel”.

On July 21, Hootie and the Blowfish will reunite in support of Jason Aldean for his show at SunTrust Park in Atlanta. The performance is part of Aldean’s High Noon Neon Tour and will also include appearances by Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina. They previously reformed for David Letterman.

Rucker announced the reunion from his current tour in Australia.
