Brisbane indie pop champs Hungry Kids Of Hungry sign a publishing deal with Alberts and play three new songs live.
Hungry Kids Of Hungary delivered an impossibly hooky album in Escapades in 2010, and have just come back from a European tour where they played to 10,000 people at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands.
They played in Sydney last night as part of the Select Music 7th Birthday celebrations in Sydney last night, which featured acts like Ball Park Music, Lior, Bluejuice, Josh Pyke, Bob Evans, The John Steel Singers, and Emma Louise across a bunch of venues.
Their set reportedly included three new songs from their forthcoming second album, which was recorded with Wayne Connolly at Albert Studios.
Now Alberts have announced that they’ve signed the band to a worldwide publishing deal (their songs previously appearing on TV shows The Inbetweeners, Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Cougar Town).
Word is, their new album will be released this Spring. Swoon over ‘Coming Around’ below while you wait.
