Ian Molly Meldrum is talking and is expected to eventually make a full recovery following his horrendous fall from a ladder in December.
Molly’s friend and assistant Yael Cohn is keeping in constant contact with the music guru who is at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. She tells Noise11.com, “he is progressing every day. Doctors are pleased with his recovery and starting to talk about rehab which is the next step.”
Yael says they are “optimist of a full recovery” for Molly. “So far so good,” she says. “We are really happy with how it is progressing. He is talking and getting a little bit better every day but we know this is going to take a long, long time”.
Molly will remain in The Alfred for months to come where he will continue treatment as his body repairs from the fractures skull, ribs, shoulder and vertebra. Doctor’s have operated successfully on the shoulder, ribs and vertebra and are pleased with how the operations went.
On a day by day basis, it is small steps and not a lot changes but each day he is getting a little bit better.
There are no longer needs for daily updates on Molly’s condition. Time will heal him but time takes time.
