Cold Chisel’s Melbourne show this Thursday has been postponed because guitarist Ian Moss has been in a cat fight … literally.
Ian was bitten on the finger by his family’s cat late yesterday. It has left his middle finger severely infected and badly swollen rendering him unable to play.
Mossy is currently in a Sydney hospital on an intravenous drip. Doctors have confirmed he is unable to play the Melbourne show this Thursday (April 12) but are optimistic he can return to the stage next week for the Sydney show on April 18.
The new Melbourne date is Thursday, April 19.
In a statement from his hospital bed Ian said, “I’m sorry to inconvenience our fans who had tickets for Thursday in Melbourne. It’s amazing that something like a cat bite can lead to a postponed show – that’s what happens when you call your album No Plans. Sorry to be a pussy, I look forward to making amends next week.”
