Australia’s iHeartRADIO has developed a uniquely Irish music channel for Tourism Ireland in time for St Patrick’s Day.
The Shamrock station will play non-stop Irish tunes via iHeartRADIO’s web and mobile services for St Patrick’s Day this Monday, March 17.
iHeartRADIO is a division of the Australian Radio Network, featuring WSFM and KIIS1065 in Sydney and MIXFM and GOLDFM in Melbourne.
However anyone anywhere in the world can tune into iHeartRADIO’s Shamrock station through their web or mobile iHeartRADIO app (available free from iTunes and Google Play app stores).
“This is an exciting addition to our already successful stable of brand partnerships via custom built radio stations,” said ARN’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of iHeartRADIO Geraint Davies.
“iHeartRadio’s ability to successfully build custom stations for our clients plays a huge role in not only creating meaningful and lasting relationships with the brands we collaborate with, but also goes a long way in setting us apart from other digital music services.”
iHeartRADIO launched in late 2013 in Australia and New Zealand and is also available via Clear Channel’s US stations. Since the launch ARN stations in Australia have experienced an increase of 71% in online listening.
“It’s an exciting period of growth for ARN, iHeartRadio, and our valued clients,” Davies said.
The Australian Radio Network reaches up to 4 million listeners in Australia, nationwide. Sydney’s KIIS1065 is now Sydney’s number one FM station after dethroning Austereo’s former juggernaut 2DAYFM.
