Garage synth act Divine Fits, featuring members of Spoon, Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs and New Bomb Turks, deliver their debut.
It sounds ultra-promising: a hip-shaking, psych garage-synth album from a trio who are/were in some fantastic rock outfits.
Divine Fits consists of Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Wolf Parade/Handsome Fur’s Dan Boeckner and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks, joining forces earlier in the year in their downtime from other bands.
They recorded a debut album A Thing Called Divine Fits in an LA backyard studio with Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grinderman).
The album will be released on August 31 but the shimmying magic of the first track ‘Would That Not Be Nice’ has already appeared. Check it out below.
