Insane Clown Posse has called on all their Juggalo supporters to march on Washington.
The often controversial rappers are targeting the FBI over their 2011 allegation that the Juggalos are a “loosely organized hybrid gang” as part of their National Gang Threat Assessment. ICP went on to sue the government in 2014 but a judge dismissed the case. An appeal a year later opened the chance for an appeal of the ruling.
At last weekend’s 17th Gathering of the Juggalos, member Violent J told the crowd of their plan for the march, saying “In 2017, the weekend of Sept. 17, we need you. We’re gonna do a #@!* march on Washington. They call the Juggalo World a movement, right? Well, let’s move!”
To kick off the weekend and, according to the group, try to ensure they get more than twenty five marchers, they will be throwing a free concert on Friday night at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA. The next day, there is a plan for a picnic to thank those who joined the march.
According to the Detroit News, the route will start at the Lincoln Memorial, go down Constitution Avenue and end at the Washington Monument where there will be speeches about the Juggalo movement.
From the ICP page today:
Just a quick update, Fam (I’ll post more later in the Hatchet Herald): Among the many fresh announcements at the ICP seminar that were dropped at Gathering 17, the most incredible and controversial of all was the announcement from Violent J that a date has been set for the long-awaited and much-speculated-about Juggalo March on Washington, D.C.!
The march will officially commence in D.C. at the National Mall on Saturday, September 16, 2017. The day before will be JCW wrestling and night 1 of an amazing FREE concert and following the march in the afternoon there will be another def night of music. Sunday the 17th there will be Juggalo picnic in the park of enjoying each other’s company.
