Yoko Ono has sent Sir Paul McCartney a Happy Birthday greeting for today, his 70th birthday but is there a hidden message in the greeting?
In a post on Facebook Yoko wrote, “Dear @PaulMcCartney Happy, Happy Birthday, Paul! Lots and lots of love, yoko x”. She included the image of Paul’s ‘Ram’ album.
The ‘Ram’ cover featured a Paul holding a Ram by the horns. The album was released on May 17, 1971.
‘Ram’ came out right at the height of the bitter feud that broke up the Beatles and tore John Lennon and Paul McCartney apart.
On September 9, 1971, John Lennon released ‘Imagine’ and ripped into McCartney with the cutting ‘How Do You Sleep’ but also included a picture of John holding a pig in exactly the same pose as Paul held the Ram.
What is Yoko playing at here? After all these years, is the feud still alive?
