‘Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker’ director J.J. Abrams has told Stephen Colbert that the first word you will hear in the new Star Wars movie is “At”.
Its true. When interviewed on The Late Show he said, “It will have no context. Here it goes, not in the crawl, but the first word spoken ‘At’.
“Wow,” replies Colbert.
“And there are six or seven words that follow,” Abrams confirms.
One of the incredible inclusions in ‘Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker’ is how Carrie Fisher stars as Princess Leia throughout the whole movie. She passed away in 2016 before ‘The Last Jedi’ was released a year later in 2017. For ‘The Rise of Skywalker’, Abrams says they took unused footage of Fisher from ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘The Last Jedi’ and wrote them into ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.
‘The Rise of Skywalker’ is set one year after ‘The Last Jedi’. Look out for Ed Sheeran who has a cameo as a Stormtrooper in the new movie.
‘The Rise of Skywalker’ will open on December 20, 2019.
